How do I shop for seafood online?
To place an order please visit our 
Shop page, then click on “Shop Now” to learn more information about a product, and then select “Add to Cart” to begin checkout process. UPS delivery method will be automatically selected.

 

SHIPPING & PAYMENT

We are invested in getting your sustainable seafood order to you as quickly as we can so you can enjoy the freshness immediately! For this reason, we only use UPS premium methods to ensure your order arrives 1 day after shipping. All UPS shipping methods are offered to you at a low cost flat rate with no extra charge for Saturday delivery. More details as follows:

  • Shipping Service: UPS methods that arrive 1 day after the order is shipped out
  • Orders < $125: $18 Flat Rate Shipping Fee
  • Orders > $125: $10 Flat Rate Shipping Fee
  • Order Cut-Off Time: Orders placed by 10:59am ET will ship out the same day, and orders placed between 11am-11:59pm ET will ship out the following day. 
  • Shipping Days: Monday-Friday. Note, orders placed by 10:59am ET ship out the same business day, and orders placed between 11am -11:59pm ET ship out the next business day
  • Delivery Days: Tuesday-Saturday. Note, there is no extra charge to you for Saturday Delivery; however, this service is not always possible if UPS does not offer it to your destination. We will inform you if we find this to be the case
  • Live Lobster Orders: $35 Flat Rate Shipping + Handling Fee. Note, live lobsters must ship separately from other items, and an additional $10 in flat rate shipping will be applied for your additional packages.

Weekly Shipping + Delivery Schedule

All orders placed between by 10:59am ET are shipped out the same business day for arrival the following day, and orders placed between 11am-11:59pm ET are shipped out the next business day for arrival the following day. Please note that we ship out orders Monday - Friday only. Is there a minimum order amount?
There is no minimum order amount. 

What days do you ship?
We ship all business days from Monday-Friday. Please note orders that ship on Friday will be delivered via Saturday delivery at no extra charge to you.

What days do you deliver?
We deliver to you via UPS from Tuesday-Saturday. Please note, orders placed between 12am-10:59am ET will ship out the same business day, and orders placed between 11am-11:59pm ET will be shipped the next business day. For example, orders placed on Saturday by 11:59pm ET will be shipped out on Monday, and orders placed on Monday by 10:59am ET will be shipped out the same day, or the next day if placed by between 11am-11:59pm ET will be shipped out on Tuesday.

Is there an order cut-off time?
Orders placed between 12am-10:59am ET will ship out the same business day, and orders placed between 11am-11:59pm ET will ship out the next business day. 

Can I pre-order for a scheduled delivery date?
Unfortunately you cannot specify what date you want your package delivered, but we recommend ordering based on our delivery schedule listed below. This is something we are working on and hope to have soon!

How do I track my order?
When you complete checkout, you will input your email address which will be used to send you automated tracking notifications. 
 

What kind of shipping do you use?
We ship our sustainable seafood using UPS services that deliver your package the day after it ships out. Your package will arrive by end of day, but unfortunately we are not able to give a window of time in which is will arrive, so please plan accordingly. 

Will I receive a confirmation of my order?
Yes, you will receive confirmation once your order has been submitted, as well as a confirmation with tracking information once your order ships out.

Do I have to be home for delivery?
You do not need to be home to receive your order, however if you order seafood we highly recommend you are. UPS will not require a signature to deliver, and will leave your package on your doorstep or front desk at the time of delivery. Seafood products should be removed from the outer shipping box, and refrigerated or frozen immediately upon receipt to be safe for consumption. Luke's Lobster is not responsible for packages sent to recipients who are not available to accept their package on the delivery date.

What if I submit the wrong shipping address?
If you submit the wrong shipping address, please email retail@lukeslobster.com immediately. Your shipment will be delayed until the following day, with the option to pick up at UPS to receive your shipment on its originally intended date. 

What is your return and refund policy? 

If you have any issues or feedback on the products you received, please email retail@lukeslobster.com. Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept returned product but can ship replacement product or issue a refund if there are any issues with your product.

 

PRODUCTS

After I receive my delivery how quickly do I need to consume my seafood?
When you receive your seafood delivery, remove from outer shipping box and place frozen seafood products in freezer and fresh seafood products in the fridge. Our lobster and mac and cheese products may be kept frozen for up to 18 months from the pack date that is indicated on the label, and our soups may be kept frozen for up to 12 months from the indicated pack date. Keep frozen products frozen until you are ready to use, and thaw under refrigeration when you are ready to use. 

       Lobster Tails: consume within 2 days once thawed.
       Lobster Meat:  for best quality, consume within 6 days once thawed. However, lobster meat is safe to eat within 10 days refrigerated.
       Lobster Mac & Cheese: consume within 2 days once thawed.
       Lobster Bisque: consume within 2 weeks once thawed. 

       Fresh Lobster Meat: For best quality, consume within 6 days from Pack Date. However, lobster meat is safe to eat within 10 days refrigerated of Pack Date.

       Fresh Oysterskeep refrigerated and consume within 7 days.

How do I thaw frozen items?
Frozen items should be thawed in a refrigerator overnight, and should take approximately 16-24 hours depending on your fridge. *Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of food borne illness*

What should I make with my lobster tails and meat?

How should I store my live lobster before I cook it?
Refrigerate live lobsters upon receipt. You can either put your package directly into your fridge if space allows, or remove lobsters from package and transfer to a lidded pot that is placed in your fridge.

How soon should I cook my live lobster after receiving it?
When you receive your live lobster, you should refrigerate them immediately, and ideally cook the same day, but within 24 hours max. Check out our instructional video for How to Steam a Lobster.

How do I heat up my Lobster Mac and Cheese?
In the oven: Fully thaw lobster mac in the fridge. Preheat oven to 375F. Pour the thawed lobster mac into small oven-safe dish and sprinkle breadcrumbs over top. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes, until top is golden brown and lobster mac is heated to 165F. 

On the stovetop: Fully thaw lobster mac under refrigeration. In a small saucepan, simmer water over medium heat. Place thawed lobster mac pouch in simmering water, and heat for approximately 5 minutes, or until lobster mac reaches 165F. Pour heated lobster mac into bowl, and sprinkle breadcrumbs over top. Enjoy!

Is fresh or frozen lobster meat better?

Both are excellent quality! When lobster season is at its peak (May-July for Canadian waters and September to November in Maine) we produce fresh lobster meat and freeze some of this meat to ensure a consistent supply year-round. Our lobster preservation is done using liquid nitrogen technology - the most advanced method, which when combined with our slow thaw process, is guaranteed to preserve the highest quality, texture and taste. Both our fresh and frozen lobster meat are the highest quality, but if you don't plan on eating your lobster meat soon after it arrives, we recommend purchasing our frozen lobster meat that has been frozen with advanced technology at our facility in Maine -instead of freezing fresh meat yourself at home.
